Johnson C. Smith University Partners with Knowmad to Build New Website
After Hiring Knowmad in 2010 for Web Strategy Development, JCSU Opts to Retain the Web Agency to Lead the Website Development Team
Charlotte, NC, Mar. 23, 2011 — Full-service Web agency Knowmad (www.knowmad.com) has been contracted by Johnson C. Smith University to create the school’s new website. JCSU’s partnership with Knowmad began last May when the agency was hired in a consulting role to develop an effective Web strategy.
"When we determined our dot-edu website was in need of an overhaul, we knew it would be a big job,” says David Eubanks, Dean of Academic Support Services for JCSU. “Our site has a tremendous amount of content that must be clearly visible and effectively managed. We knew launching a new site would require several phases of work, beginning with a thoughtful and deliberate strategy. Knowmad has proven to be an invaluable asset during the strategic phase, and we’re pleased the group has agreed to lead us through the development phase as well.”
Knowmad spent the last several months studying JCSU’s interactive needs as both a school and a business, determining how to effectively attract and engage the university’s wide-ranging target audiences—existing students, potential students and the community—through the school’s website.
Knowmad has worked closely with the JCSU team, creating a seamless agency-client collaboration.
