Software Developer
Knowmad Technologies is a growing, open source company based in Charlotte, NC that provides website design, applications, custom programming and support to its clients. We are seeking a Perl programmer with 1-3 years of experience who wants to be a part of our highly skilled team.
The Job (Responsibilities)
The Software Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining custom websites and website application software. We are a project-based company which means you will have the opportunity to work in many different areas including front-end and backend website solutions, intranet applications, database programming, and custom software development. You will work with the Lead Developer and Project Manager through the entire application lifecycle.
The Qualifications (Requirements)
- BS in Computer Science or related experience
- Perl/PHP (1-3 years)
- Website applications development including client-side and server-side applications
- XHTML/CSS
- Javascript/AJAX
- Object-oriented design and programming
- Software Testing (unit testing, functional testing, system testing)
- Relational database design and SQL
- Knowledge of development tools (e.g., version control, SSH/SCP)
- Effective communicator
- Team player
