Knowmad Technologies’ McKee Makes List of Movers & Shakers
William McKee, president of Knowmad Technologies (www.knowmad.com), was named to the Charlotte Business Leader list of Movers & Shakers. The Movers & Shakers Awards honor up-and-coming business leaders in the Charlotte community. Winners are either rising leaders within companies with more than 100 employees or C-level executives leading rising companies with fewer than 100 employees. Winners will be honored at an awards dinner to be held Monday, September 29 from 5:30 – 8 pm at the Westin Charlotte
McKee launched Knowmad Technologies in 2002 and has helped grow the company into a leading developer of business solutions software. With a mission to empower individuals and organizations by leveraging information into knowledge, Knowmad Technologies helps clients operate more efficiently through software customization, systems integration, and process automation.
In addition to building a successful business, McKee is active in the Charlotte business community. As co-chair of communications for the Charlotte Chamber’s new Creative Industries Council, he is helping to promote, attract and retain creative individuals and businesses in the Charlotte area by providing opportunities for educational enrichment and innovative programming. In addition, he has been sought out to provide pro bono online strategic planning and general consulting to help the World Business Academy operate its online Web site more effectively. The World Business Academy helps the global business community understand and participate in the new constructive role of business in society. McKee has served as president of the Chantilly Neighborhood Association and group leader of the Charlotte Perl Users Group.
