A natural critical thinker and problem solver, William founded Knowmad in order to pursue his passion of helping clients to more effectively use the web and related technologies. An advocate of the belief that technology is a powerful tool that can enhance our lives, he has found it requires thoughtful application in order to realize this potential. This has allowed him to become involved in several organizations that promote awareness and change including Telluride Institute, Lopez Community Land Trust and CRTEC.
With a liberal arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, William has combined his degree with an interest in technology to teach himself the skills of the trade. He thrives in complex situations that require unraveling data and algorithms to finding a resolution and enjoys the challenge of coming into chaos and creating order. As always, this starts with creating a human connection to understand the impact of the technical issues, then coming up with a strategy and tactical plan to implement the chosen approach.
Outside of work, William enjoys activities that stretch his mind, body and spirit and has an active yoga practice and is often found hiking and traveling around the globe.
